Hi All,
A quick reminder that Saturday June 15th will be our initial “Owner for A Day” event for 2024. It is Haskell Preview day at Monmouth Park and we have three slots available to spend the day with us from early morning training including visiting the backside to meet our horses, Trainer and Jockeys and watching the races from one of the new Terrace Suites in Monmouth Park’s Clubhouse. Use the link below to access more details and sign-up information on our website at Kenwoodracing.com. A terrific Father’s Day Gift for horse afficianados.

Our Vino Rosso / Lisa Limon filly has been named Vino Limone and has progressing nicely towards her racing debut with Trainer Kelly Breen (see attached picture above). She has had three timed works (see scan above for her profile and 5/26 work. She also breezed on Sunday June 2nd going 3 furlongs in 37.2 but there was some sort of glitch and it was not published. She was timed for 4 furlongs yesterday, but Kelly asked her rider to ease up at 3 furlongs after going in 37.1 so the last furlong was at a geared down pace (see below). Kelly has been very happy with her progress so far. We have a couple of shares available in Group 96 for those who want to be part the racing career of this beautiful two- year- old with a nice pedigree. For those attending the Owner for a Day Event on June 15th you will be able to see her on the track and back at the stable area. Please let us know if you are interested as these shares will be sold quickly.

Lisa’s Palace was welcomed back to the Kenwood Stable after being claimed out of Race 6 on Saturday at Monmouth Park. She will be part of our ARC24 Group 95 and we are looking forward to trying her in a turf race in a couple of weeks. Her dam Lisa Limon was an excellent turf runner during her injury shortened career and we feel that a surface change could be beneficial for this 3 year old filly who has 3 wins on the dirt and has earned almost $80,000 in her first year of racing.
Wind Ninety Nine is well out coming out of his hard trying 2nd place finish on Saturday May 25th . We are looking to enter him for a race on June 15th that is written for the turf, but he will be entered as Main Track Only (MTO) and will only run if the race comes off the grass. We will continue to look for another dirt race for him as well.
Miti Fast Flower has come back very well after finishing 4th after a long layoff at Penn National on Thursday May 23rd where she vied for the lead at the top of the stretch but tired after the long layoff. Trainer Mark Salvaggio felt that a little more conditioning was all that she needs and we are pointing her to a race with the same conditions on Thursday June 20th at Penn National
Outlaw Country continues to train well and we are planning on entering him in an Allowance race on Sunday June 23rd at Monmouth Park .
Butterfly Queen finished 5th by 2 ¼ lengths on Saturday May 25th and was claimed from us out of the race. We wish her and her new connections the best of luck in the future.
Calming Sea has been given some rest from training after being scratched with a sore foot on Memorial Day. She will get a couple of weeks off and then will be reevaluated for resuming training.
Red Head Italian is well and continues to recover at Overbrook Farm in Colts Neck.
Cali Heat continues to recover at Nor Mar Farm in Pennsylvania and the vet feels that he should be ready to get back into training within six weeks as his wound has begun to heal sufficiently..
Our Connect filly is well at Hidden Brook Farm in Kentucky. See the latest report from Sergio below.
