Hi All,

Happy 2025 to everyone as we kick off the new year with races in back-to-back days starting today at Gulfstream Park.  There are still two slots open for our ARC25 claiming program which is now officially underway.  Once we claim the first horse for the group it will be closed out to any new members so if you don’t want to miss out on a lot of action throughout 2025 with multiple horses racing at East Coast Tracks, be sure to contact us ASAP before the final shares are taken!

Vino Limone is entered in Race 6 today going one mile and seventy yards on the synthetic Tapeta surface (see details below and pp’s attached above.  She has been training very well (see latest breeze from December 21st below) and should be ready to go for this race.  Scott’s race day analysis is below.

We are hoping VINO LIMONE can kick-off our 2025 in style, as she runs today in Race 6 at Gulfstream Park – a 1 Mile & 70 Yds route on the Synthetic surface, with a Post Time at 3:00 PM.  With an initial field of nine runners, there has been a scratch of the longshot #3-Money Bouquet, so Vino Limone will break from Post Position #6 in a field of eight 3YO fillies: all looking for their second win, lifetime. She is 5-1 on the ML, with the favorite just to her outside in #7-Bugged Out (3-1 ML). Vino Limone is just one of two runners to be trying the synthetic surface for the first time, along with #9- Sevilla, and both are stretching out to two turns for the first time. #2-Chine Blue is coming off her Maiden breaking win last out, when she tried two turns on the Synthetic for the first time and came from off the pace to break her maiden. There is not a lot of early speed signed on, but #4-Sorority Bird, #1-Blinging Burr and #7-Bugged Out have all shown early foot in past races and should help set the early pace. While Vino Limone has speed, she likes to settle off the pace, and jockey Edgar Zayas will need to break cleanly and hopefully save some ground into the first time, so they don’t get caught wide early; thus, losing ground, or using too much energy to keep up. We’re in good hands with one of South Florida’s top jockeys, and Vino Limone will run on Lasix for the first time today as a freshly turned 3YO. She is bred to like the turf, and while the Synthetic surface is still a bit of a question mark, her family is proven in two turn races as well; so hopefully she can take a step forward today with the drop in class. It’s a wide-open race on paper, and fingers crossed for a clean break and trip! Good luck to all Group members and Kenwood Partners!

Cali Heat is entered in Race 5 tomorrow night at Penn National with top rider Jomar Torres going 6 furlongs on the main track (see details below and pp’s attached above).  After his planned race last Thursday night was cancelled, he had a maintenance work on Friday morning and is primed to run well tomorrow night.   Scott’s pre-race comments are below.

We have lucked out from the unfortunate cancellation of last Thursday’s card at Penn National and have CALI HEAT right back in the entries for this Friday, January 3rd!  It’s the same race that was carded on Thursday, but now we have Jomar Torres back in the irons to try and avenge their defeat last out. This time, Cali Heat draws inside in the #2-Post Position which certainly changes some things with race strategy. There is not as much early speed signed on with this full field of nine runners, but the favorite #6-Prom Knight, is the same controlling speed and the gate-to-wire winner last out, over a sloppy track. #8-Hoylake also brings early speed shipping in from Charles Town where he has won his last two races. Breaking from the inside, Jomar and Cali Heat may have to go early to maintain positioning, but it will all come down to a clean break.  He has the early speed to keep pace, but is also capable of sitting off the pace if he can keep positioning early, without using too much effort.  Weather looks good, but cold, later this week, and we’ll follow up Friday morning after scratches, with final thoughts.

Red Head Italian is fine with Trainer Brittany Russell at Laurel Park in Maryland and we are looking at a race for her near the middle of the month.

Outlaw Country is enjoying his time at Sunset Meadow Farm and will be getting ready to ship to Palm Meadows to resume training in a week or two.

Our Connect / Lisa Limon filly is well at Whispering Meadows Equestrian in Delaware.
