General News
- After the great response to our first online event last week we are pleased to announce our next event will be held on June 18th at 7:30pm. The seminar, ‘Buying Horses at Auction’ will be an introduction to the sales process, with specific facts and figures and NO sales pitches If you want to know the difference between buying broodmares, weanlings, yearlings, two-year-olds, etc., what horses cost and what paying top $ really buys you, what the experts look for at a sale, the importance of movement, pedigree, conformation, etc., how the process really works, and separate hype from reality, this seminar is for you. ALL welcome but space is limited and priority will be given to current co-owners. Look for an email link shortly.
- An ‘Open Letter to the Industry’ spearheaded by Kenwood Racing and signed by 40 owners, trainers, jockeys, farms, sales consignors, etc. and including many of the leading people in the business appeared in the TDN (Thoroughbred Daily News) on June 8th and has already received a great deal of attention. Look for it to appear in other industry publications shortly. Real reform is long overdue; the letter details four specific areas of focus, hopefully serving as a template for action and change. You can help by writing a brief letter to SUEFINLEY@THETDN.COM and expressing your support.
- Racing may return to Penn National as early as the end of next week. Plans are in the works for racing to resume beginning June 19th, with an initial schedule of 2 days a week. Still not finalized but things are looking up. Stay tuned for more details, It would be great to have any opportunities for our four horses stabled at Penn to run without shipping.
- As usual, you can find updated entry information on your horses at Equibase or on our entries page.

- Giuliana Vee runs this Friday at Laurel Park, got a favorable outside post in a 9 horse field at a good distance for her, 1 mile. Been off several months while no racing throughout the northeast so may need this one but training really well, has a top rider, and a real shot here.
- New Found Treasure and No Good Deed are both doing well and both ready to run as soon as racing at Penn National resumes.
- Rapstorerocks had a nice maintenance work at Penn National and is ready to run as soon as we can find a race for him
- Seven Seven and Life on the Edge came out of their 3 furlong works at Monmouth Park very well. Looking for a race for Life on the Edge at Laurel Park ASAP, while Seven Seven is making steady progress towards his debut.
- Fire’s Finale also well at Gulfstream Park, about 3-4 weeks from his debut if all keeps going well.
- Pango well at Gulfstream Park, looking for a spot for him.
- Lisa Limon and her handsome Liam’s Map foal, both doing excellent at Hidden Brook Farm.
