General News

  • A lot of news today, beginning with the wonderful Kenwood Video Tribute by Jim Frasca, a member of the fantastic Facebook Monmouth Park-focused group, Monmouth Park Racetrack Memories (now and then). Many of you will probably see yourselves in one or more of the photos, take a look. THANK YOU Jim & Monmouth Park Racetrack Memories (now and then)!
  • Next, we have the news the Monmouth Park’s opening has been delayed from Memorial Day weekend to July 4th. Obviously it's a disappointment, but also probably a wise decision. All our horses are just fine and fortunately this is not going to have much impact on their racing. The horses in Florida will continue to train and hopefully race there.
  • As usual, you can find updated entry information on your horses at Equibase or our entries page on our website.

Horse by Horse News

  • Lisa Limon was bred to top young sire Palace Malice. She and her foal by another top young sire, Liam’s Map, are both doing great. See some more photos of them at Hidden Brook Farm in Kentucky.
  • Rapstorerocks runs at Gulfstream Park tomorrow. An overflow 16 horse field (12 with 4 on the also eligible list). Will run and then likely ship to Penn National.
  • Night of Idiots was entered twice at Los Alamitos but neither race went. We are going to most likely send her to a local farm for a little R&R until racing returns at Golden Gate Fields.
  • Our beautiful Laoban colt is with trainer Rory Huston at Overbrook Farm in New Jersey and will train there and then go into Belmont Park to prepare until Monmouth Park opens. He’s had his brief (3 week) rest in a nice turnout paddock and Rory will now start him back in training on the track at Overbrook next week. Down to final two shares in this group. Thanks to all for the support, especially at such a challenging time!
  • Our super 2yo out of Exchanging Fire excellent in Ocala and now will ship to trainer Ron Spatz at Gulfstream Park shortly to train towards his debut there. When Monmouth Park opens we still plan to bring him up north to race this summer.
  • Pango will be entered tomorrow for Sunday at Gulfstream Park, doing really well, hoping the race goes.
  • Life on the Edge will breeze this weekend at Palm Meadows, Kelly Breen thinks she’s about 3-4 weeks away from being ready to run.
  • Trilby well out of her Kenwood nice debut for our active racing group #58. Should be ready to run back towards the end of April.
  • Lookinlikeaqueen  much better, not coughing at all, went to track today and jogged nicely. The antibiotics appear to have done the trick and assuming she trains well from here, is on track to be entered in a race coming up in about 10 days at Gulfstream Park.
  • New Found Treasure, Giuliana Vee and No Good Deed all well at Penn National, waiting for races for them somewhere.
