We have one owner who is unable to attend the National Thoroughbred Owner’s Conference and Breeders’ Cup races at Santa Anita at the end of October. If anyone wishes to attend either-both events, her tickets are available for sale at a large discount. Please email Rob@kenwoodracing.com for more info.
- New Found Treasure is SCRATCHED for today at the Meadowlands. The horse is doing excellent, NO problems. We didn’t like this spot and there’s a race to enter in Sunday for next Friday that would be a much better option. If she doesn’t get in that or it doesn’t go, we’ll look at other races for her.
- Life On the Edge perfect out of her big win in an allowance on Monday at Laurel Park. Looking at another allowance race at Laurel Park beginning of November for her, one step up the ladder with a larger purse. Take a look at this nice article about her most recent win.
- Giuliana Vee gets in at Penn National for her career debut in a nice maiden allowance event next week. A full field, she’s doing well, Kelly Breen will let her break from the gate this weekend one more time before she runs. As usual, entry info. is at www.equibase.com and here. Email George@kenwoodracing.com if you wish assistance with seating-dining, etc. At Penn National, admission is free.
- Rapstorerocks back into training and well at Monmouth Park. He lost a few days previously with a fever and then another couple of days when he lost his rider coming off the track, fell, and got some bloody cuts that fortunately were only skin deep. That caused him to miss two possible races at Laurel Park but he should be fine to run shortly. Probably will have a little maintenance work this week at Monmouth Park to be sure he’s fit and then look for a race to enter in.
- Shake It Up Baby training at T-Square Stud and doing super. Adam Parker thinks he’s about two weeks away from a work, maybe a 2 minute lick or an easy 2 furlong breeze. At that point, assuming he comes out of it well, he’ll be ready to ship to Gulfstream Park to continue his training there.
- ShimmyShimmy Shake had an easy maintenance work today and doing very well at Penn National with trainer Mark Salvaggio and should be ready to run as soon as she’s ‘out of jail’ (can run outside of Monmouth Park where she was claimed) at the end of October. Mark is very pleased with her, says she’s dragging people around the barn eager to train.
- Looking for a spot to run Solar he’s doing excellent. We are trying to get an extra put up for him at The Meadowlands next weekend, if not than we’ll look at other options-tracks.
- More Ice and Night of Idiots both well out of solid works. There are races for Night of Idiots end of October and beginning of November. More Ice should be ready to run in late November
- Magic Musketier good out of his last race and will look for grass next time.
