- Solar was entered today for Saturday at Monmouth Park in a spot where he’d be tough to beat, they got 8 horses but didn’t use it and didn’t bring it back. They are waiting to use turf races for the Meadowlands so that’s where he’ll have to run as soon as there’s a spot for him.
- ShimmyShimmy Shake arrived safely at Penn National this afternoon.
- Life On the Edge good out of her race at Parz and ready to run back in October. Life On the Edge stumbled at the start, but recovered quickly and made the lead, got into a protracted head to head battle with the other speed horse in the race and tired to finish 7th and last. Really she just seems to be a cut below these high-level allowance horses running for an $80,000 purse, at least at this juncture. Seems to have come back ok so far, we’ll know more in the next day or two but should be fine to run back in a less salty spot next month.
- Giuliana Vee is 2 or 3 works away from her debut.
- Rapstorerocks ready to run whenever we can get a spot for him.
- Start A Fire ready for anything suitable that comes up.
- Night Of Idiots “doing really well, almost ready to run” Jonathan Wong.
- Magic Musketier ready to run, looking for a spot.
- Starring John Wain ready to run, looking for a spot
- New Found Treasure is fine today. There’s a race for her in about three weeks at the Meadowlands we’ll point for which should be a good spot.
- No Good Deed will ship into trainer Ron Spatz at Gulfstream Park later next week most likely.
- Shake It Up Baby training at T-Square Stud and doing fine
- More Ice excellent and ready to return from his brief R&R on the farm.
- Annie’s Candy is fine and looking for the right spot, good out of easy maintenance work today (below).
- Bullion is doing well with Steve Asmussen in Kentucky.
- Lisa Limon doing excellent. Hip #s for the sale are out and she sells Sat. Nov 9th, hip #1533 (below). Liam’s Map has two more 2yos in stakes this weekend, Buyer’s Remorse and Song River (below). These will be real longshots, not likely anything like Basin winning the Hopeful, but even a placing by one of them would add to his reputation considerably. Just having two more runners in major stakes is impressive and promising for a young sire like this.
