Updates, last call morning training

Last Call! Morning training at Monmouth Park on Saturday. All horses expected to train, many with timed works. All welcome, space almost full, please RSVP if you wish to attend.

As most people know, Jerry was kicked out of Santa Anita and Golden Gate after four horses under his care died in 5 months (interestingly after Bob Baffert had two horses die at Del Mar in the first 10 days, no action was taken). Jerry had over 100 horses training, most at Golden Gate and Santa Anita but many at tracks across the nation and the article notes that in a period of almost 4 years, he had absolutely ZERO equine deaths anywhere, except at Santa Anita and Golden Gate. Perhaps that might indicate the problems lie, at least to some extent, with the track surfaces and not with the trainers who are being made scapegoats for larger industry problems?  NOT that Jerry (or any trainer) doesn’t have a responsibility to protect horses under his care in every way possible, but this is a complex issue to say the least and tracks unilaterally ‘banning’ trainers with no active violations of any kind is certainly not the answer, as the courts have so far fortunately ruled.
