Two big entries for Saturday on the east coast to add to Annie’s Candy on the west coast in race 7 on Friday at Golden Gate Fields.

• At Gulfstream Park in race 2 on Saturday, Vibrant Spirit returns from a winter layoff in a nice spot, she’s been training very sharply, Ron Spatz says he hopes she’s not too fresh first time out; if she can harness her speed and not get into a prolonged battle with the horse next to her, she has a real shot here. The #1 post will help if she breaks well, win or lose the race should set her up well for a summer campaign.
• A nice entry at Monmouth Park in race 12 on Saturday for ShimmyShimmy Shake. There was an opportunity to run in a short field and we took it, she’s been training well and it’s the right spot.
