The Second National Thoroughbred Owners Conference took place January 11th - 14th at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida and was exceptionally well received. Over 200 new and current owners from around the country enjoyed a great week of speakers, videos, social events, and great racing at Gulfstream Park. Kenwood was well represented at the conference with Kenwood president Jack Czajkowski, associate managing partner and company CPA Allen J. Katz and a number of partners and co-owners in attendance at the event. Kenwood founder and racing manager Robb Levinsky was a featured speaker on the panel "Acquiring Your Thoroughbred Racehorse: What Are Your Options?". Robb showed a slide to the attendees (see video just below taken by Allen Katz), detailing Kenwood’s exceptional record in purchasing two year olds at public auction (thanks to the organizers of the conference for their permission to use this video footage!). The conference ended on an exceptionally good note for Kenwood, with Unspoken Quality charging down the stretch in the final race on the final day of the conference to break his maiden by 2+ widening lengths and send a happy group to the winner’s circle, including new Kenwood co-owner CynSeo, celebrating her first win as a thoroughbred owner. We look forward to the next conference, scheduled for Breeder’s Cup week at Santa Anita Park in November.
