Another big win for Kenwood Racing at Gulfstream Park came on March 18th, as Nonsuch made a bold move under top rider Irad Ortiz Jr. to grab the lead in the deep stretch and hold off the late bid from a longshot to win by a neck. Congratulations to everyone in our co-owner program who came out with a large profit when he was claimed from us today. We got the win and the claim, exactly as planned!

It has been a truly spectacular year for Kenwood so far; we are hitting at a 25% winning clip overall in 2018, including three wins and a second in our last four starts. Most of those wins have come at the ultra-tough Gulfstream meet where we are winning at an unheard of 30%+ clip (4 wins from just 13 starts since the premier winter meet opened in December, one of the highest winning percentages for all owners at the Gulfstream meet). Of course, as anyone who understands this game knows, there will be plenty of ups and downs to come, but our Florida trainer Ron Spatz and his team have done a spectacular job and have put us in a position to have a big year.
