- Racing was cancelled at Monmouth Park so Highwaytwentyseven didn’t get to run in what would have been an ideal spot for him but Fire's Finale more than made up for that missed opportunity with a thrilling maiden win for a very nice purse at Parx. Sent off the heavy favorite in a scratch-filled field on a sloppy track, Fire broke perfectly from an outside post and sat a comfortable trip behind one runaway front runner. He made a bold move into contention on the far turn and then needed the entire length of the stretch to get past the leader, who was game after setting an uncontested early pace. With one last surge right at the wire he put his nose in front to get the win by a short head in literally the final stride, with the 3rd horse a distant 10 lengths further behind. It was a special moment for co-owners Bill & Pat Russell, who were on hand to celebrate with trainer Kelly Breen in person, and for everyone in the Kenwood Racing family. Recall we bred and raised this horse, the final foal out of our beloved multiple stakes-winning mare Exchanging Fire (thus his name), who interestingly was stabled at Parx for much of her great career so it was fitting he broke his maiden here today after 5 excellent runner-up efforts at other tracks (two 4ths, two 3rds and two seconds). We sold shares in this very promising Pa. bred as a two year old to our co-owner group at a value price and with his previous earnings of nearly $20,000 and his Pa. bred bonus purse of over $33,000 today, he has already earned more than his purchase price in just his two year old year. This is a very promising colt, bred to improve as he matures, so there’s a lot to look forward to for all his owners. Very few horses indeed make 6 starts at age two, a tribute to his maturity, soundness and of course good management by Kelly Breen and our entire team. This was Kenwood’s second win in a row (Pango won for us just three days ago) and 16th win of 2020. It’s been an exceptional year for us, especially welcome with all the challenges in the world for everyone right now, and this win will without question stand out as one of the highlights.
- Giuliana Vee runs Friday at Penn National in a nice 7 horse field as she looks for her third career win and Kenwood looks for our third win in a row after big wins with Fire’s Finale and Pango above. She’s trained well for this and has a real shot if she comes with her best effort
- Adhwaa had another fine work Saturday as we wait for a race for her. She was entered three times previously and the races did not go. We enter again tomorrow for Saturday at Monmouth Park and we are looking for other options elsewhere also.

- Tracy Ann's Legacy was entered for a race next week on short rest and the race was carried over, which is good for us as it gives her a little more time, enter tomorrow for Saturday at Monmouth Park
- Itsgottabemyway is ready to run, just looking for a spot for her.
- New Found Treasure well out of her race. Hoping to find another turf spot somewhere for her before grass racing ends in the region for the season. There’s a race to enter in Wednesday for Saturday at Laurel Park.
- Rapstorerocks good, there’s a nice spot for him sprinting at the end of the month.
- Pango fine out of his 2nd impressive win in a row at Penn National. Trainer Mark Salvaggio has done an absolutely exceptional job with this horse. He looked terrible in several starts at Gulfstream after we claimed him and has turned into a really good turf runner and a money maker. Unfortunately turf racing is coming to an end in the northeast for the season but we might be able to get one more race into him at Laurel Park or Monmouth Park and then we’ll evaluate our options. A hearty congratulations to our active racing group #58, who has three terrific runners who are all racking up the wins; Pango, Tracy Ann’s Legacy and Highwaytwentyseven. All were claimed for bargain prices and all have paid off big-time for this highly successful, fun and profitable group.
- Blu Candy has come to hand quickly at Monmouth Park, had another nice work Saturday at Monmouth. On track right now to run by December.
