General News

  • It’s been a great year for us, winning races all over the east coast. We have two horses who are ready to run right now that we simply have not been able to get races to go for (Adhwaa, Tracy Ann’s Legacy).  Meanwhile Fire’s Finale is sharp and ready for his stakes debut on Dec. 7th at Parx. We hope to have all of them in the entries shortly; they are sitting on big efforts as we wind down a very successful 2020 racing season.

  • Tracy Ann's Legacy fine out of her excellent maintenance work at Palm Meadows and was entered for her race today at Gulfstream Park West which did not go. It was brought back for opening day at Gulfstream Park, enter Friday for next Wed. If that race doesn’t go there’s a possibility of trying a Claiming Crown stake the following week at Gulfstream Park.

  • Adhwaa is ready to run and we’re looking for a race for her anywhere in the northeast. She’s doing excellent, sitting on a win. We’ve entered multiple times now at multiple tracks, usually not so hard to get a race to go for a maiden. We hope to get her in the entries shortly somewhere.
  • Fire's Finale had another absolutely outstanding work today at Belmont Park. Just as last week it was the fastest work of the day but most important, he did it easily and came out of it perfect. He’s as ready as a horse can be for the Pa. Nursery stakes on Dec. 7th. You can see past performances for the nominees (these are all horses nominated for the race, only a small number of them will actually run). He’s already had a great two year old campaign with an amazing 6 starts to date, all good efforts including a game maiden win in his most recent race. There’s been an outbreak of Covid among the rider colony at Parx this week, we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed everyone makes a good recovery and racing continues. If he runs as well as he’s been training, he’ll have a serious shot in his stakes debut. After the race, he’ll head down to Ocala for a little R&R to have him fresh and fit for a big three year old campaign next year.

  • Pango well and happy in Ocala at de Meric farm. The photos and video speak for themselves. The one of him taken today with his head hanging over the fence is priceless. If a horse can be grinning from ear to ear he’s doing that. He’s saying ‘this is wonderful, thanks for the time off’! He’ll get turnout in a nice paddock for about 30 days, then daily swimming for about 30 days, and then go back into training with the goal of having him fit and ready to return to trainer Mark Salvaggio at Penn by the end of the winter and ready to run when the first turf races appear in the northeast next spring. He had a terrific year for us, ending with two straight impressive wins, and we are looking forward to another big year with him in 2021.
  • Blu Candy fine out of her work at Belmont and is just about ready to run now. Will work her again this weekend while we wait for a race for her.
