Kenwood Racing Weekly Horse Update

Our team members did a terrific job at the OBS sale in Ocala this week, coming home with two tremendous buys!  The first is Hip 99 a filly by Jimmy Creed out of Montessa G.  The second is Hip 436 a NY bred colt by Kantharos out of Crack Your Whip.  The sale was tremendously competitive with sales average and median up significantly due to pent up demand.  You can read the results here. Kudos for the team in being able to identify and purchase these truly promising two year olds.  Watch for the official offering coming out in the next few days.  Both of these groups are sure to sell out quickly.

  • Charge Account What a great start for Group 65 and Charge Account!  In her first race for Kenwood Racing since being claimed, she moved up to a starter allowance race, was steadied twice in the race, yet still rallied for the win!  She should be a lot of fun for the rest of the spring and into the Monmouth Park season.
  • Tracy Ann's Legacy finished a gutsy 3rd in the Captiva Island Stakes last week at Gulfstream Park.  She's now been stakes-placed twice since we claimed her.  She's likely to run once or twice more in Florida before shipping north -- the Politely Stakes on Monmouth Park's opening weekend will be a possible target.
  • Fire's Finale continues to point for his 3yo debut at Gulfstream Park next month, then up to Monmouth Park.
  • Adhwaa is doing well out of her latest victory and is targeting an allowance at the end of the month at Aqueduct with a huge $85,000 purse.
  • Life On the Edge was entered tomorrow (Friday) at Aqueduct for her 2021 debut 1st race post time 1:20pm. It’s a sprint and although she has proven to be better long, we want one under her belt to have her ready to go long next time.  Doing really well so still looking for a solid effort first time back.
  • Brynbella is entered in the 1st race on Saturday March 20 at Gulfstream Park post time 12:10pm for her Kenwood Racing debut.
  • Seven Seven is training very well at Belmont Park for his 3yo debut later this spring.
  • Pango is training very well at Penn National and will be pointed for the first turf races this spring.
  • Lisa Limon gave birth to a beautiful filly by Palace Malice.  Both mother and baby are doing fine (see photo).
