Photos, results and more

Rapstorerocks had a very rough trip in a 12 horse field at Gulfstream Park (see chart comment “bumped at start, steadied early and mid-stretch, in-tight, wide”), finishing 6^th, but stunningly beaten less than 2&1/2 lengths for the win. Despite trouble throughout, he rallied strongly in the stretch, gaining with every stride. A better ride and better trip would have had him easily in the top three and very likely in the winner’s circle today. 12 horse fields are very tough, the winner is usually the horse that is able to avoid traffic and trouble and that did not happen here. It was a real disappointment as he’d trained nicely for this and it was a realistic spot class wise. The good news is he ran hard and well and was clearly competitive with these, so hopefully with a better trip next time he’ll get the money. Here’s a link to some photos from today’s race:

Giuliana Vee’s race at Penn National was carried over, enter again Wednesday.
Solar fine out of a terrific workout at Palm Meadows.There are possible races for him March 11 & 14^th at Gulfstream Park, if anything comes up sooner he’s ready to run now.
Our beautiful 2yo out of Exchanging Fire for group #56 is training at T-Square Stud in Ocala. Everyone attending the OBS March sale with our team will have an opportunity to go out to the farm and see him train. Here are links to some photos of him taken by farm owner Adam Parker on Friday.
