General News

  • Our first online event via GoToMeeting last Thursday was a huge success! In response to the 40+ people who have asked for more online events, we’re pleased to announce we will be having an online seminar later this month about the sales process. Look for the date – time and more information shortly and thanks for your support.
  • We invite everyone to look at the Thoroughbred Daily News this evening/tomorrow to view a letter to the thoroughbred industry spearheaded by Kenwood and signed by 40+ people, including many household names in the business. It will be appearing in other industry publications shortly.  We have always been a loud voice for much-needed reforms and will continue to work with like-minded people to move our industry forward.
  • The prospects for owners to be admitted for live racing at Monmouth Park on or shortly after opening day are good. Stay tuned!
  • As usual, you can find updated entry information on your horses at Equibase or on our entries page.

  • Giuliana Vee returns to the entries this week at Laurel Park, gets post #9 in a 9 horse field. Obviously will need a race after a long layoff when no racing was open anywhere in the region but trainer Mark Salvaggio reports she’s doing really well. If nothing else, this will be a good conditioner for her that should give her a fitness edge over other horses who have not started in a while when racing hopefully returns to Penn National towards the end of this month.
  • New Found Treasure, Rapstorerocks and No Good Deed all well too at Penn National and we are looking for races for them at other tracks also until racing returns at Penn.
  • Seven Seven and Life on the Edge both good out of fine workouts yesterday at Monmouth Park. You can see a video here.   and also see the work times below. Note the clockers incorrectly confused our horse, Seven Seven with a 3yo named Seven & Seven but rest assured this is your horse’s work (he worked in company with Life on the Edge, the other horse is in Kentucky!). As explained many times before, workout times – information is at best, rough estimations and subject to plenty of errors. Anyway, both Life on the Edge & Seven Seven are doing really well….
  • Fire’s Finale had another fine breeze at Gulfstream Park this morning, doing excellent as he approaches his debut.  You can see a video of him warming up prior to his work taken by Ron.
  • Pango, good out of an improved 4th and looking at another spot for him later this month.
  • Lisa Limon and her handsome Liam’s Map foal, both doing excellent at Hidden Brook Farm.
