  • Video of Adhwaa, the newest member of the stable, training this morning at Monmouth Park. A better looking, more athletic filly would be hard to find. What a beautiful mover! If a picture is worth 1000 words, a video is worth 10,000. Group #60 was released to our Triple Crown Club members this week; 9 shares sold in the first 48 hours (thank you!). She offers pedigree with an established race record, coming off of two straight 2nds at the ultra-tough Oaklawn Park meet. After extensive vet exams and research, we were able to purchase her privately at a great price and the group is offered for under $3,500. All owners will receive a full package of information tomorrow. First come, first served for the final shares, keep your eyes open and respond promptly if interested

Racing news: two horses this evening at 2 different tracks, both ran well and another winning night to cap off a truly amazing month….

  • Life on the Edge was in just the race we were looking for at Monmouth Park until heavy rain took it off the grass. She was doing really well and did break her maiden on the dirt at Monmouth, so we stayed in with leading rider Paco Lopez and ended up with exactly the setup she likes, an easy stalking trip from the outside. To put it mildly, she sure made the most of it; despite stumbling at the start she quickly recovered and pressed the heavy favorite from the get go, taking over at will on the far turn and drawing away to a visually stunning 10 length win (9&3/4 according to the official chart ). This is a filly who is simply a different horse with the right (for her) trip whether on turf or dirt; outside of horses in the clear with a moderate pace. She got exactly that here and looked like a star. This is her 3rd win in 13 career starts with career earnings now approaching $60,000 and we think there’s more to come with her. Less than 10% of all horses win 3 races by the middle of their three year old year, kudos to trainer Kelly Breen for his careful management and congratulations to all her owners. Enjoy the video and photos from her race.
  • Then an hour later Pango was a flying 4th at Penn National, beaten a head for 3rd in a photo and a heartbreaking 1 length for the win despite a tough trip. It was an ultra-tough race for the level with an overflow field and for the first time since we claimed him this spring, he ran a winning race. A few strides after the wire he was in front and off this race we have renewed optimism that he can join the rest of our stable in the winner’s circle.

What an amazing month! Six wins and three seconds from just eleven starts in July! Congratulations to all our owners on your wins this month with No Good Deed, New Found Treasure, plus TWO wins for Rapstorerocks, a win and a photo finish 2nd for Giuliana Vee, and an outstanding blowout win to end the month following an excellent 2nd on Haskell Day for Life On the Edge

  • No Good Deed excellent out of her impressive maiden win at Penn National. She was entered today at Penn National for next week and the race didn’t go. There was another race on the grass for August 7th, we have her entered there ‘dirt only’ so IF (and only if!) the race comes off the grass she’ll run, if not we’ll look for another spot (she just broke her maiden impressively on the dirt and has no real grass pedigree or turf foot so no sense changing things up off a win and trying grass with her now).
  • Great news! Seven Seven had a super work. He got his gate card and is ready to run. He’ll be entered this weekend for a race at Saratoga on August 7th or next week for a race at Monmouth Park on August 15th. While he’s bred to improve with age-distance (much like Fire’s Finale, who was a good 3rd in his debut) he’s shown speed and ability from the get go and we are expecting a solid effort from him wherever he runs.

  • Tracy Ann’s Legacy is doing so well we entered her on short rest for an allowance race at Monmouth Park this weekend but it didn’t go. Fortunately, she has two nice allowance races to point for in August at Monmouth Park coming up. Comes off a super-impressive win and we expect a big debut effort from her.
  • Highwaytwentyseven has several spots to point for in August at Monmouth Park, he too is doing well and we expect him to run a big race for us in his Kenwood Racing debut.
  • New Found Treasure perfect out of her impressive win at Penn National and there are races for her coming up this month (August) at Penn National. This honest filly is a really nice grass horse and should have more good races to look forward to all summer and into the fall.
  • Rapstorerocks great out of his 2nd win in a row at Penn National. Should run back towards the end of August.
  • Giuliana Vee good out of a very game 2nd coming back on just 2 weeks rest off her debut win. There’s a race for her towards the end of August. This filly has matured into an honest, consistent runner and we are very pleased.
  • Blu Candy well at Monmouth Park. We are not rushing her as she’s bred to mature into a nice filly.
  • Lisa Limon and her Liam’s Map foal well at Hidden Brook Farm in Ky. Hard to find a better looking horse
