Kenwood Racing Weekly Horse Update
- Dahlonega came out of her race at Gulfstream Park well, and has settled into trainer Kelly Breen's barn at Palm Meadows. We'll be looking for a race for her towards the end of the month.
- Blu Candy is doing fine out of her first race at Penn National on Wednesday. It was good to get a race under her belt, and we're looking forward to getting her back out by the end of the month or early March.
- Adhwaa was entered today for a starter allowance race on Super Bowl Sunday at Aqueduct. She gets a top rider in Trevor McCarthy and this 7 horse field is a nice spot and a good test. We will need to keep an eye on the weather for possible changes or a cancellation.
- Life On the Edge is doing well with trainer Kelly Breen at Belmont Park, and continues to train back into racing shape. Weather permitting she may be ready for a race in a few weeks.
- Seven Seven ships in the next day or two to Kelly Breen's barn at Belmont Park, given that the weather has closed the track at Overbrook Farm. He is feeling super and ready to get back into training. Here is a photo of him enjoying the recent snow at Sunset Meadow Farm.
- Fire's Finale is doing great and continues to train forwardly at Nick deMeric's farm in Ocala. He will be sent to Kelly at Palm Meadows in about 2 weeks.
- Pango is also doing well in Ocala at Nick deMeric's, according to whom Pango "seems happy to be back in work." He should ship to Mark Salvaggio at Penn around March 1st to prepare for the first turf races of the spring.
- Tracy Ann's Legacy has been entered for Saturday at Gulfstream in the Ladies Turf Sprint Stakes. The race drew an 8-horse field and is a similar spot to the stakes where she was third last time out. She may also be entered in an allowance race tomorrow and then we will decide which option is best for her. If you want to attend the race we can make arrangements for seating-dining.
- LISA LIMON and her Liam's Map colt are doing well at Hidden Brook Farm in Kentucky. She's due to deliver her Palace Malice foal in about another month before being bred back to Bolt d'Oro. Here is an article highlighting Liam's Map's success so far as a stallion, which bodes well for Lisa Limon's colt's future.
We are still actively pursuing additional horses through claims at Gulfstream Park and hope to add more horses to the Kenwood Racing stable in the coming weeks. Please check your email frequently for any new offerings.
