- Kenwood Racing’s record has been nothing short of phenomenal this summer; a word we rarely use but with eight wins, six seconds and one third from eighteen starts in July and August including three wins and four seconds from seven starts at our home base of Monmouth Park, it certainly applies. Congratulations to all our owners on your many successes with; Life On the Edge two wins in a row! Highwaytwentyseven, a going away 5+ length win in his Kenwood debut and a game 2nd today. Two wins in a row for Rapstorerocks at Penn National, including a head bob thriller in a 3 horse photo in his last, No Good Deed, New Found Treasure, 2nd, 1st and 3rd in her last three starts, a win and a photo finish 2nd for Giuliana Vee and a very game 2nd in her Kenwood debut for Tracy Ann’s Legacy and more to come!
- Our next online seminar via GoToMeeting is “Purses & Claiming” this Thursday at 7:30pm. An absolute must for anyone interested in how the claiming process and the economics of racing work. Space is filling up, please RSVP if you plan to join us!

- A surprise entry for Highwaytwentyseven at Monmouth Park main track only paid off today as he was an excellent second, running back on just seven days rest. The winner simply outran him from the start and after chasing hard from second, another horse ranged up inside of him and he appeared to be tiring in 3rd . Instead, he found another gear and fought back in the stretch to re-take 2nd in a very game effort. This nice 3yo has a win and a second now in two starts for us since being claimed, both at significantly higher levels than we claimed him for. Congratulations to the owners of group #58 who have a group of really nice, hard-trying runners!

- Seven Seven came out of his career debut so well that we kept him at Saratoga. He was entered today for a race Friday and it went. Top rider Luis Saez liked the horse last time and stays aboard for this one. His debut was a lot better than most people probably realize so with a better trip this time, we are expecting a big step forward.
- Some great photos-videos of the thrilling win for Life on the Edge on Friday at Monmouth Park. A special shout out to trainer Kelly Breen for his 800th career victory, we are thrilled to have it come with one of our horses! Life on the Edge came out of the race tired (as you would expect from such a game nose win off just 2 weeks rest) but sound and well. Look for her in a similar spot in September….

- Our newest member of the stable, Itsgottabemyway doing great. She was very impressive the day we claimed her at Monmouth Park; sat off the pace early, made a sustained four wide move on the far turn, and won going away. A special welcome to several new co-owners who joined the Kenwood Racing family with this group, we appreciate all of our owner’s support.
- Pango doing well out of his last start is on the Also Eligible list in an overflow field for next Friday at Penn National, will need one scratch by race day to get in, will look at alternate races for him in the meantime.
- Giuliana Vee good out of a very game 2nd following a fine debut win at Penn National. She too is on the Also Eligible list in an overflow field for next Friday at Penn National, will need one scratch by race day to get in. Will look at alternate races for her too.
Not a good luck of the draw in either of these races but in fairness we’ve had more than our share of good entries this summer and there’s a very decent chance a horse will scratch out of these races for one reason or another and we’ll get to run. If not we’ll just have to find alternate spots, stay tuned.
- Fire's Finale will be entered Thursday for Sunday at Monmouth Park, doing great off an excellent closing 2nd last time and we sure hope the race goes.
- Rapstorerocks training great, will be entered in one of two spots next week at Penn National looking for his 3rd win in a row. Had a nice easy maintenance work today;

- New Found Treasure fine out of a good 3rd Wednesday at Penn National. Had a good trip and a good ride, just beaten to the wire while running well and hitting the board once again. She’s been 3rd, 1st and 2nd in her last three starts.
- No Good Deed ok out of a rough trip last time when 4th at Penn National, looks like end of August for her next start.
- Tracy Ann’s Legacy good out of her excellent, hard-trying 2nd, picking up $10,000 in purse $ in a tough allowance race last week at Monmouth Park. This race comes back in the book at the end of August and while no guarantee it will go, if it does the timing would be excellent to run back in there and hopefully it will stay on the turf. This is a very nice filly and looks like an excellent claim for our active racing group #58, should be lots of good times ahead with her.
- Adhwaa training well at Monmouth Park, no issues.
- Blu Candy well at the farm. Expect her to return to training at Monmouth Park in September. We are not rushing her as she’s bred to mature into a nice filly.
- Lisa Limon and her Liam’s Map foal well at Hidden Brook Farm in Ky. Hard to find a better looking horse. Congratulations to Lisa’s brother Snow Man, who won the Duke City Sprint Stakes off a 8 month layoff! Our Liam’s Map – Lisa Limon foal should be a very popular commodity when we sell him as a yearling next year.
