The Kenwood Racing team was hard at work the past week, looking to add one or two more runners at the final stop for main 2YO sales - the OBS June Sale!  With temps consistently in the upper 90's and 100's, the light turnout allowed for a Buyer's Market, and Kenwood was able to come away with two really nice 2YO's, back to back and early on in Day 1!  Hip #66, a filly by the freshman sire and spring Champion, Mitole, hails from the family of G1 Winner and Kentucky Oaks runner Lilacs And Lace, as well as Champion 2YO Filly in Japan, Lucky Lace! She breezed a sharp :10 flat, with a very nice gallopout after the wire, and was one of just three horses on our Day 1 short list. No more than 10 minutes later Hip #72 went through the ring, and was another top pick of ours. A colt by another freshman sire, Flameaway, out of the multiple stakes winning mare and Monmouth Park specialist, Livermore Valley, our second purchase of the day thre down an impressive :10 flat breeze as well, with a Top 25 gallop out for the entire sale!
